HAMSEY COMMUNITY

Cancellation of January 2021 Litter Pick

Dear fellow litter-pickers,

Happy New Year! We hope that you are all keeping safe and well.

This is just a quick message to update you with respect to the Hamsey parish litter pick that was planned for the weekend of Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th January 2021.

In accordance with the latest Keep Britain Tidy / government guidance, and taking into account the current health emergency and associated lockdown restrictions, regrettably it is no longer appropriate for us to proceed with the January litter pick as an event organised by Hamsey Parish Council.

Of course, should you choose to pick up litter on your daily exercise it will be really appreciated. If so, please ensure you do so safely and in line with the latest government guidance taking any rubbish collected home to be placed with your own for normal collection by LDC. If you require any additional equipment at any time please let us know and we’ll be very happy to help.

Until we can resume our normal parish litter picks we send our thanks to you all for your understanding and look forward to seeing you again soon. We will of course be back in touch with you all with a new date for the next organised Hamsey parish litter pick as soon as it is known.

Kind regards,

Robert and Tamsyn

Cllr. Tamsyn d’Arienzo and Robert Baughan
